THE ORIGIN STORY
The Asian Articles was founded in July 2020 by Evie Fitzpatrick. She had always been interested in activism and making a change in the world; she wanted to try something new and create her own initiative. As a Chinese-American, Evie noticed how Asians and Asian Americans were rarely mentioned and represented in mainstream media. That is when the idea of The Asian Articles came. She wanted to create a community where Asian youth could be empowered and celebrated. She wanted to give them a platform where they could speak on the issues they were passionate about.
After establishing the organization, Anh Nguyen, the Executive Director, expanded The Asian Articles to be where it is today. Now, the organization boasts 60+ team members from all over the world. Evie and Anh hope that The Asian Articles will continue to expand and become well recognized throughout the globe.
MISSION AND VISION
Through writing and the arts, the Asian Articles seeks to advocate for and empower Asians and youth. We hope to amplify unheard voices and create change, no matter the size of the impact.
